[StyledEdit] forgets cursor position after empty line

If you place cursor like it's shown and press down arrow 3 times I would expect it to preserve its' position on the last line, Instead, after empty line cursor forgets its' position and ends up in the beginning of the 4th line:

Those were taken some years ago as potential GCI tasks. Unfortunately no place is available for them in my schedule at this days.
