Empty Deskbar menu

Description
If I click on any open application listed in the Deskbar, and then click on the leaf-menu without clicking anywhere else in between, a menu displaying <empty> appears instead of the usual leaf-menu content. I'm running R1A4.1 in VirtualBox on OSX10.8.
