#9582 closed bug (duplicate)

x86_64 nightly missing Radeon driver, Shortcuts preflet

Reported by: Kev Owned by: bonefish

Platform: x86-64

Description

I have two Haiku partitions, so how I normally install a nightly is to boot into my non-nightly partition, format the nightly partition, mount a raw nightly image, and run Installer from the mounted image. However, when I tried downloading x86_64 of hrev45413, it said it couldn't open Installer with application Installer. So, I just used Tracker to drag all the files from the mounted image onto my now-empty nightly partition, then ran makebootable on it just in case. It boots up fine on my Sempron 3100+ (yay!) but there seem to be standard things missing, two mentioned in the title. Because there's no driver the display gets set to 1024x768 and when I try to up it to 1280, the screen goes blank until it times out and resets to 1024.

Anyway, do these things not build yet under 64? Here's a list of what's included

~> ls -R /boot/home/config/settings/deskbar/ /boot/home/config/settings/deskbar/: Applications Demos Desktop applets Preferences

/boot/home/config/settings/deskbar/Applications: ActivityMonitor DriveSetup StyledEdit WebPositive Debugger Installer Terminal

/boot/home/config/settings/deskbar/Demos: BSnow Cortex FontDemo OverlayImage Pairs Sudoku

/boot/home/config/settings/deskbar/Desktop applets: NetworkStatus ProcessController

/boot/home/config/settings/deskbar/Preferences: Appearance FileTypes Media Printers Touchpad Backgrounds Keyboard Mouse Screen Tracker DataTranslations Keymap Network ScreenSaver VirtualMemory Deskbar Locale Notifications Time

Yes, it's known there are a large number of targets that don't yet build on x86-64, that's very much work in progress which is why those builds aren't more widely publicized at this point.

Sorry, I totally forgot to search first on this one. I guess it's a duplicate, covered by "Port other userland libraries and applications to x86-64." from ticket 1141.

Oh well, thanks for the quick reply anyway. BTW, posting this from WebPositive on 64, so that's happy at least =)
