Description

I have BeOS_DemoVideo_20minutes (DivX).avi . MediaPlayer reads the file but it takes a lot of time. In two of three cases, the system is frozen for several seconds, and CPU utilization was 100%. Then I hear the sound, but the image loses a frames, it is also fast. In the VLC video is correct, but there is no sound.

Probably this file is corrupted. Sorry for the noise. I checked this file with different players on Windows. Only in Haiku MediaPlayer I have sound. Why?

Once again, I "watched" this video. For some time I had a picture and sound. Then, the image stopped at some frame. I had only sound.

Have you tried this same video with the current nightly's? I have the mpeg version and didn't see an issue.

Works perfectly here. An amazing blast of the past. All that with 64MB RAM and 2xPII@266mhz. My 8 core i7 turns a bit red around the ears. :)

I played the beos_demovideo several times and it plays perfectly without stuttering or freezing. However, there is an issue with the audio going out of sync with the video when you advance the progress bar. It is of course more apparent on the scenes with dialog. It may be a problem unique to this video or just mpeg1 format. All the avi files I tried remained in perfect sync at all times.
