No sound on Lenovo laptop F41 with Realtek High Definition Audio

I don't know if it's proper to create a new bug report, but I searched that there is no exact the same bug. If not please correct me.

Here is the situation:

1. I installed Haiku R1A4.1 on my Lenovo laptop F41(Realtek High Definition Audio) with anyboot image. I found there was no sound.
2. I installed opensound-4.2-r1a2-x86-gcc2-2010-05-01.zip,there was no sound too after setting media preference and reboot.But on the same PC, this opensound-4.2-r1a2 works in VMware.
3. I deleted opensound-4.2-r1a2, and installed opensound-4.2-r1a3-x86-gcc2-2011-05-31.zip, after this panic error occurred when reboot. Opensound-4.2-r1a3 does not work in VMware too.

Syslog patched after this.

You might also try a nightly build from ​http://haiku-files.org to see if anything has improved since the last Alpha release.

FWIW, VMWare emulates a different sound chip and uses the host OS's sound subsystem to play through, it doesn't expose the one you have in your computer directly to the guest OS.

Also, when using opensound, it's important to remove the built-in HDA driver temporarily - as they may conflict and attempt to attach to the same hardware simultaneously.

Do you anything in the media server preferences? Perhaps try messing with output channels, as that sometimes gets HDA to work.

I disabled HDA and tested opensound-4.2-r1a2/opensound-4.2-r1a3 in Haiku R1A4.1. No sound either.

Then I installed haiku-nightly-hrev45642-x86gcc2hybrid-anyboot,disabled HDA,installed opensound-4.2-r1a2/opensound-4.2-r1a3,the situation remains the same.Opensound-4.2-r1a3 would cause KDL when rebooting.

Syslog2 under haiku-nightly-hrev45642-x86gcc2hybrid-anyboot attached.

In hrev45642 you will probably want to test the other way around -- disable opensound and leave the HDA driver enabled, as the latter one is the one that had bug fixes, improvements ..etc since alpha4.

Recently, I tried Haiku nightly image hrev46516 in usb disk on an acer PC which has the same sound card (Realtek High Definition Audio) with my laptop Lenovo laptop F41 mentioned in this ticket. The sound play on this Acer PC is good with the default Haiku HDA sound driver. Then I tested this nightly image hrev46516 on my laptop Lenovo laptop F41, the result was NO sound. Then I tested the last stable release r1a4.1 on both computer, the Acer PC was good, the laptop F41 had no sound too. So weird! I don't know why, anyone knows?
