Description
It would be nice to have an interface in the package kit for subscribing to the package_daemon for changes in package activation/installation status. This would be necessary in order for e.g. HaikuDepot to stay in sync if someone concurrently installs or removes a package from the command line via pkgman.

Could we move this over to beta2 ?
As a general rule, when we hit beta 1, we should be feature complete, ergo all that remains to be done from there to R1 is bug fixes. Moving tickets around that need to be dealt with one way or another just for the sake of trying to get the beta out faster really isn't accomplishing anything.
