#10813 closed bug (fixed)

WebPositive crash visiting site with embedded vimeo, trying to close tab before loaded

Reported by: Kev Owned by: pulkomandy
Priority: normal Milestone: R1/beta2
Component: Applications/WebPositive Version: R1/Development

Description

I went to http://deanclifford.info/about/ and spotted the video as I noticed my system slowing down. Not wanting to wait for it to load, I clicked the tab's X (I had only one other tab open) and then the close-square for WebPositive itself. System was quite unresponsive (could not even Alt+Fx to switch workspaces) as it thrashed away (my system only has 1/2 g RAM) so I left and a minute later when I returned, WebPositive had crashed, attached, and the system was back to normal.

By the looks of the report, the crash may have simply been a consequence of exhausting available memory ; it would however be interesting to know if it behaves any better with the latest Haiku / Web+, as there have been some improvements related to audio/video handling since your revision, among other Web+ stability issues, and the revision you're testing with is from nearly a month ago.

Hi, Do you still get this problem in current Haiku versions?

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

Link doesn't exist anymore; and presuming this is fixed with video changes in 1.6.8.
