[Expander] fails to show contents of zip files on vmware share

I have 15Mb zip file on a mounted vmware shared folder. Opening it in Expander anc clicking "Show contents" expands the view but doesn't list any files. It works with a smaller zip files though.
unzip -l has no problems listing the contents of this 15Mb zip file
