Description
The DejaVu fonts are overall versatile and useful, but they make bad defaults for a web browser. OpenSans is an Apache-2 licensed font that I believe makes web pages look more modern and readable compared to Dejavu Sans. Project page here: https://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Open+Sans

Closing this, as user preferences are available and it's possible to install fonts easily now.
I add an etra note that we may someday switch to the Noto fonts, for better language coverage.

You can change font settings in Web+ already. Just install the font and configure it as you prefer. We are using DejaVu as the default font because it has wider coverage of languages. The only reason we would switch is to a font with even better coverage, which isn't the case for Open Sans.
