Playback of MP3 audio is at double speed

I tested each Haiku Alpha release back to Alpha 1 and the problem is evident on each, as well as the current nightly. Magnussoft Zeta 1.5.1 plays perfectly using its "Generic AC-97 Driver"

I no longer have this hardware. We may as well close.
