Description
Whenever I attempt to print a document using the PDF WRITER set inside the Print Preflet, i faced some issues:
The first one is that will appear the "PDF WRITER" window, which will take the whole CPU, as I can see in ProcessController: looking to details of ProcessController, I can see that the culprit is the print_addon_server which is using a whole core of my cpu. When this window appear is small, then will became bigger and wider. Furthermore it will never reach the 100% of the progress bar:
Here I have to kill the print_addon_server, to have a generated PDF file; this file, at the first attempt, is invalid: I have to wait some seconds to properly see the content of such file.
However, when I back to the Print Preflet, under the "jobs" section, I can see that such print job is marked as failed:
In such example I used Gobe Productive to print this file as PDF, but the same will occurs also if I attempt to print an email from Beam or from the mail system of Haiku: in facts any PDF print on Haiku will have the same behaviour.
