#14079 closed enhancement (no change required)

Design new boot splash for 64 bit (enhancement)

Description

Currently both x86_gcc2h and x86_64 share the same boot splash. It would be nice to have a new stylized "64" boot splash to differentiate 64 bit Haiku.

I don't think this is a good idea. I would rather keep the boot splash nice and clean with just the logo.

May be ok to do something subtle (for example like how Windows XP just changed the colors of the loading bar to differentiate home and pro editions). But a plain "64" would be too visible.

Why does it matter to the normal user? I can understand your need as a power-user with multiple installs to know what you are booting, but the usual case is a single Haiku install, in which case this is not needed.
