Mail: new email status icon does not get invoked when new email appears by query

I have yet to figure out how to invoke the new email status icon even though I have the New E-mail query linked to the mailbox (in settings). See the attached screenshot, which shows new email (by query) but the Mail icon in the Deskbar does not show new email status.

Should be fixed in hrev52527.
