Acer Aspire One ZG5 hangs on shutdown

As specified at the end of this post i opened a new ticket https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/5880

Not fixed for my Acer Aspire One GZ5. The screen stay blue (the background haiku blue). I remember that on rare occasion it got black and also stuck there forever. On reboot it always have a black screen, again i need to hold the power button to close and restart it.

I have two "centrino" laptop and both do this. I wonder if this is related to hypertreading cache working differently than latter processor.

Many shutdown problems are hangs before it has gotten to ACPI. ACPI is the absolute last step of shutdown. Usually it is a lockup before. Better to only set a component when it is determined. It's a bit hard for me to singlehandedly investigate these always and try to explain that not all bad things are ACPI.

I added a syslog in case it help a bit. A lot of the shutdown verbosity is probably because #15263 currently also happen at shutdown.

Hi, same problem with Acer aspire one (first generation) blue screen on shutdown and Black screen on reboot, tested with a modern build (5992)

hrev54939 ACPICA update mentions fixing a lot of issues related to sleep and shutdown.

now on hrev54955 and it still have the problem, never once able to shutdown.
