Description
Booted from USB3 thumb drive on a Dell XPS 8900, got to the prompt to either boot to the desktop or install and found that my mouse was not moving, it was just centered on the screen and dead, the keyboard is working however, so I hit enter to boot to the desktop but the mouse is still not moving once I got there. I tried to unplug and plug it back in and still did not help. Tried both the USB2 and USB3 ports but either helped.
It is a Microsoft Comfort Mouse 4500.
Note that I wasn't able to test on the x86 version as it froze on boot.

Ah, I just noticed this is actually a duplicate.
Please attach a syslog, and the output of "listusb".
