Description
hrev54185 x86_64 running in VMware with 1.5GB RAM
Holding down enter key for 10-15 seconds in Tracker on this file https://git.haiku-os.org/haiku/tree/data/system/boot/first_login/default_deskbar_items.sh makes the system crawl. It eventually recovers but it takes an hour to do that.

Summary: | [kernel] default_deskbar_entries.sh makes the system crawl → [kernel] default_deskbar_items.sh makes the system crawl |

Overall the system is ok now, but at least in VMware Deskbar is very sluggish and remains so until all of the processes are completed. Also I noticed that /boot/system/apps/PowerStatus --deskbar
now opens a window instead of silently adding Deskbar replicant.

Fixed the PowerStatus problem in hrev58485.
I'm also in VMware and don't see Deskbar being sluggish here. The processes all seem to complete very rapidly here however.
Doesn't seem to be a problem here. The system doesn't seem sluggish while holding the key, and things return to normal immediately after releasing it.
