network preferences crashes on first wireless LAN setup

Description

After installing "beta2" hrev54154+31on my Thinkpad x220 I did a first setup of my wireless card. During scanning of available wireless networks the network preference crashed two times. Syslog and crash dump of first crash attached.

Problem is similar to #15752.

Please do not upload core files, just attach debug reports. The backtrace in your syslog that diver has extracted above is sufficient for now.
