Description
On my Dell Inspiron 1525 (gm965 graphics), while the app_server starts, the internal display is not refreshed. It stays at the splash screen with all icons lit, and gradually fades to white. Eventually, the intel driver continues its initialization and turns it off, and then on again with the desktop.
I think this should be much faster so the display doesn't have time to become white, or failing that, the display panel should be powered off during the modesetting to avoid making this visible.
