Description
If you look at the bottom of Haiku's cgit installation, Haiku currently uses cgit 1.2.1, released three years ago. Since this version is quite old, it is a good idea to consider upgrading to the latest version.
The latest version of cgit is 1.2.3, and can be downloaded here: https://git.zx2c4.com/cgit/refs/tags

done. also fixed rendering markdown on about pages.

to be fair, cgit has only made two point releases since 1.2.1, but indeed it's time for an upgrade.
