Description
I’m having a freezing/shutdown problem with Haiku. I have an AMD FX 8350 CPU on an ASRock 970 Extreme4 motherboard. I'm running Beta 3 x86_64 (Revision hrev55181+54 as of reporting this ticket). I tried booting with the safe mode option of “Ignore memory beyond 4 GiB” (after reading about ticket #14082, thinking it may help), but that didn’t help in solving the problem. I’m also affected by ticket #14887. These issues occur when using the UberTuber application, sometimes when I just open a terminal (not always), and when running the neofetch command. Also, when shutting the system down, it would just freeze at the shutting down screen (before the computer is supposed to power off).

This is almost certainly just another version of #14082. The entire AMD FX line of processors seems to be affected; Ryzen is thankfully not. Unfortunately all attempts at debugging the problem have so far failed...
