Description
The locale is Japanese and the input method is "mozc".
If it is not "Inline conversion", a window that displays Japanese input candidates at a position away from the input position opens. I get tired because I move my eyes many times. I can't input smoothly.
When inputting Japanese, if the character string you want to input is definitely the first candidate, you do not have to move your line of sight, but that is not certain. If you make a mistake, you will have to fix it.
When I launch the same app on Linux, I can do an "inline conversion". Also, most apps running on Linux default to "inline conversion".
It's a small difference, but the efficiency of the input work is quite different. I didn't write it because I thought it was a specification. I dared to write one of the reasons why Linux is the main and haiku is used as a sub.
- Apps that can use "inline conversion" in Haiku:
StyledEdit DeskNotes Koder
- Apps that cannot use "inline conversion" in Haiku:
Pe ターミナル(terminal) nano featherpad kwrite WebPositive Otter Browser
-> Most are apps ported from Linux.

This is generally due to such applications not having complete support for IMEs in Haiku.
Terminal/nano is a built-in application, and so is WebPositive, so we are responsible for those. kwrite, featherpad, etc. need to be updated in ports (probably our Qt port needs better IME support), an issue should be opened at HaikuPorts for those.
mozc is itself ported, so we should also verify this is not a mozc issue in some way.
