Description
Spinning up Haiku using qemu-kvm and virt manager.
- Tested E1000, virtio, rtl8139 virtual network interface.
- Spun up fresh Haiku VM to test each interface.
- Spun up Linux VM with these settings which functions as expected.
The interface is correctly identified in guest Haiku network panel; e.g. virtio interface is named virtio in Haiku network panel.
The guest Haiku network panel IP4 sections shows DHCP selected, but no IP address is visible.
There is no internet access, and pinging from guest Haiku terminal cannot reach WAN or LAN hosts.

It's a problem of firewall configuration on the host, not a Haiku problem. See https://discuss.haiku-os.org/t/no-network-as-qemu-guest/12414/9

After further testing, it appears the issue was that I allotted 2GB of RAM to the guest.
After changing the RAM to 4GB, the network panel functioned as expected in Haiku.

Things should work with only 2GB of RAM... is this the beta release? That has more packages and may need more RAM to boot in some scenarios.
Strange, network on Haiku in QEMU works just fine for me on various hosts.
