Some font characters should never receive colours.

I was looking for a small game to use in a virtual machine and naturally tried Peggy.

All went right in the app but I after my first move, I realized that I wasn't remembering which of black or white dot was for right place and position. So, I fired the help and ended even more puzzled.

I reported the ​issue on Peggy GitHub page but it seems more a Haiku problem.

This is not exactly about colouring characters but about presentation mode of emojis. Quoting Unicode:

Emoji characters can have two main kinds of presentation:

• an emoji presentation, with colorful and perhaps whimsical shapes, even animated
• a text presentation, such as black & white

The presentation style is never guaranteed, though, and with a text presentation they would change colour as you found out. AFAIK, we lack support for emoji presentation, presentation selectors and even colours in colour fonts.

So I'd say a duplicate of #16096?

Certainly, I saw that bug when searching for something similar but, it didn't come to my mind that those dots were a kind of emoji.
