#18310 new bug

Kernel panic in Matrox driver on old Celeron system

Reported by: Alexco Owned by: rudolfc

Component: Drivers/Graphics/Matrox Version: R1/beta4

Description

I have my trusty old PC with Dual Celeron in an Abit BP6 board and Matrox G400 AGP VGA card where I installed Haiku parallel to BeOS R5. (same system as in ticket #12254). I updated the installation now to beta4. Booting now ends in kernel panic, disabling Matrox driver does not help, the system then hangs with all icons lit, just before the switch to desktop should be made. Beta3 works without issues.

Syslog contains beta4 boot and successful beta3 boot.
