OS "stalls" during SoftwareUpdater execution

Description

Fresh installation of haiku-r1beta4-x86_gcc2h-anyboot on VirtualBox VM Run SoftwareUpdater, identifies 142 packets to be updated. Stalls at 72 (LLVM) and system becomes irresponsive.

Note : retrying after restart succeeds. Not systematic.

Did you switch NIC to Intel Pro 1000 as described in https://www.haiku-os.org/guides/virtualizing/virtualbox/#part_trouble?

No I did not. But is a random "freeze" expected ?

Yes, PCnet driver is known to have such problems in vbox.
