MediaPlayer not playing well with content on network shares

Description
I have finally managed to mount my NFSv4 shares and wanted to play a video which is 6Gb in size with MediaPlayer. I noticed that MediaPlayer tries to download the *entire* file before starting playback.
It should only download a certain part into the playback buffer and start playback in streaming mode.
Using latest nightly as of today which is hrev58389.
