Dualhead screen settings are lost each reboot

Every time I reboot, the Screen settings shows that "Combine Displays" is disabled, and the Resolution is set to 2560x1024. I then have to set the resolution back to 1280x1024, hit apply, and then enable the "Combine Displays" option again. Then I get a functioning dualhead setup However, upon rebooting, the settings revert.
I'm guessing that this is a bug with the app_server and not the driver, so I'm setting this bug to that component.
