#4049 closed bug (fixed)

HDA driver doesn't produce audio

Reported by: dancxjo Owned by: korli
Priority: normal Milestone: R1
Component: Drivers/Audio/HDA Version: R1/pre-alpha1
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Platform: All

Description

Running SVN 31315 on real hardware. lspci in Linux says: 00:10.1 Audio device [0403]: nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio [10de:026c] (rev a2)

When I start up Haiku, the sound card "snaps" and then plays no sound whatsoever, though the driver appears to be loaded. The maximum volume in the Media Preflet is 0dB...is that normal?

This ticket and #3794 are dupes of #1072.

I too have this bug as of hrev32893, and #4340 seems a dup.

Closing as the original hardware the ticket was written for is no longer available to recheck. This might have been fixed with HDA improvements the last few months. If you have similiar hardware and have similar issues please open a new ticket and provide details on your specific issue. @plfiorini, have you tried a recent build using this same hardware?

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
