Description
It's a really nice app..
but could be possible convert mp3 files to ogg ones. ;)

This obviously depends on the installed plugins. Yes, on BeOS ogg plugins existed. You probably had them installed. In Haiku, we don't yet support ogg for encoding in any of the plugins. Feel free to try and enable it in the FFmpeg plugin. Maybe it just works. But MediaConverter has nothing to do with it. It's just a client of the Media Kit.

That's correct, I think what he's referring to is that the original MediaConverter was hard coded with respect to the audio codec while MC+ lifted that limitation. Something like that anyways.

Seems that original MediaConverter+ had support to do that, but don't work into Haiku anymore
