Forgot to add: I can mount all tested images just fine when they are burned to cd.

Component: Build SystemSystem/Boot Loader
Owner: changed from bonefish to axeld

Another test: my laptop (Dell Latitude Cpi D233ST) boots the hrev35718 nightly cd just fine.

Can you by any chance narrow it down further than that? hrev35693 itself just updated some optional packages so it can't be responsible on its own, and there are quite a few other changes in that range.

I have never build a cd image as my computer isn't really up for the task (PII 400 MHz; 384 MB), but I'll try it this weekend.

The hrev35731 nightly (haiku-nightly-r35731-x86gcc2hybrid-cd.zip) gets correctly detected as bootable again. It must have been a temporarily glitch.

This ticket can be closed. (I'll reopen it when I encounter this again.)
