catnip, could you check if #4492 describes your problem (sound in headphones only)?

Hi luroh and thanks. Just to make sure I checked everything again - no sound anywhere at all - internal, external output, minijacks for speakers or headphones. I should add, just for completeness, I have no sound problems at all on same system with Windows 7 or Ubuntu 10.04.

Could you try with hrev37113 or superior ? It would be interesting to check with FreeBSD whether it works at all. Thanks.

Hi korli. I'd be happy to - I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. I see the changeset 37113, but don't understand if this is a build or individual files. Thank you.

You can try a full build when it becomes available http://haiku-files.org/raw/ or build yourself the hda driver and update your current installation. I attach the driver binary here.

Tried with hrev37113 with no luck. I did note that muting and un-muting output ports with jack plugged into correct one did yield a little electronic blip - the Media prefs recognizes a jack is plugged into that particular port.
