Description
Terminal overwrites the prompt. Eating chars of the prompt from right to left.
How to reproduce, open a new terminal, type é (e acute), type enter, use the up and down arrow keys to navigate the command history.
It happens quite often even without special chars, but i haven't found out a reproducible test.

Same bug as #6276. Some readline or bash issue I'd say.
