input_server hangs on special keys

Input_server hangs on the ' ^{` and ~ characters, when pressed *twice* in succession, using the default US keymap.}

On a Swedish keyboard they are the keys "?", "6" and the key below Esc, to the left of "1". (paragraph sign or 1/2)

I've only tried with the US keymap. I don't know what happens with another keymap.

This is with rev 17863.

The keyboard and mouse stop working. F12 works though, for entering the kernel debugger.
