#7357 closed bug (invalid)

consoled not restarts the shell

Reported by: fano Owned by: nobody
Priority: normal Milestone: R1
Component: Applications/Command Line Tools Version: R1/alpha2

Platform: All

Description

Launch consoled from desktop, it starts fullscreen as intended (partially destroying the backgroung) : write exit, it says "restart shell" but sadly nothing restart anymore... you have only a white screen and nothing more :-)

I tested logout and it did the same... in a login shell it is obvious...

I think consoled isn't meant to be used from desktop.

Indeed. It's only purpose is to be a host for gdb, when app server, input server, or registrar crash.

OK but if I'm bad and write "exit" (I know may be it is a little stupid to do it) it says "restart the shell", but it doesn't do nothing, you're lost!
