Logging this ticket for myself instead of using an email as a reminder.

Mmh, just had a look and I might have been mistaken with the "jam run_tests". It looks like one first has to build them ("jam unittests") and than run the UnitTester program.

They build and run now. However there are several failures which we should fix.
