Description
Would be very useful add in the Tracker's menu context the voice "Add to Playlist" for media files; that would be most quick than open first Mediaplayer and than open again the Playlist window. Something like VLC's context menu inside MS Windows.
Image as example.

The way Tracker currently (still) works this would best be implemented as an add-on, so that the items would end up in the respective sub menu.

Hi axeld.
Yeah, you're right: an add-on would be the best way to do that.

For example, the player "CL-Amp" for BeOS/Haiku has an optional add-on for doing that: http://www4.tripnet.se/~slarti/p_cl-amp_plugs_uk.htm#Other_stuff as you can see in this page under the voice "Tracker Add-ons created by Trent Trautman".. So maybe is possible make add-on for MediaPlayer too!

I'm not sure providing add-ons is the best solution. What if it's catching on and you'll end up with various apps and media players having their add-ons installed?
Currently, selecting a number of media files and opening them opens MediaPlayer with those files in the playlist. Maybe a right-drag&drop of other files on MediaPlayer could offer to either add those to the playlist or replace the current playlist. Would be nice if the Deskbar entry would react equally for a right-drag&drop...

Hi humdinger,
in my humble opinion, with a lot of folders and files on the hard disk, these options would be much faster than drag and drop (currently the only option to add files to playlist).

Moving Tracker enhancement tickets out of R1 milestone -- Tracker's source code comes from BeOS R5, so it already has all the features it did on R5.
