Mini 10v keyboard and touchpad don't respond after a reboot

Description

I'm dual booting Haiku 43192 and Debian testing with grub2 on my Dell Mini 10v. When I reboot 43192, I am unable to use the arrow keys under the grub menu hence I'm forced to boot whatever is the default selection which is current Debian and when Debian does boot neither the keyboard nor the touchpad respond but after power cycling everything springs back into life again.
