#8291 closed bug (fixed)

Localization site not working 100% with Web+

Description

This is hrev43630.

Haiku's Localization site isn't working too well with Web+. Most importantly, the little buttons to accept/reject a suggested string don't seem to work. By clicking on the suggested string, it is put into the text field as "Fuzzy". But even after submitting that string, there's still the suggestion around, clogging the list under "Review" with outdated suggestions.

Of course, it's a limitation of our Web+ (and BeZilla as well), but maybe the site itself could be configured to play nice with Web+? I'll still file it under Web+ as a good use case exposing Web+ shortcomings.

I'll add this info from a haiku-i18n thread by Rimas:

The reason why approving suggestions doesn't work might be the version
of Django that we are using. Our browser sends the HTTP request as
expected, but Django denies that request citing some security
considerations. I believe I had the same problem even with the latest
version of Firefox on Windows, so it's not a WebPositive-only bug.

Could you retry with the current version?

I still see the issue with the web+ of my hrev44581 build (it's about says HaikuWebKit 1.1 (849a386), WebKit 536.10 (hrev115944)). Is that recent enough?
