Description

With the sheer amount of RAM modern computers have today and with the low requirements of Haiku I think having an option to make the system save temporary files (clipboard stuff included) into the RAM would be neat. There are so many advantages in having a feature like this available that I'm not even in the mood to list them.

Another nice to have and related feature would be being able to set up and use a "RAM disk", drivers for this have been available for a long time in both BeOS and Haiku so maybe they could be looked upon and, if deemed suitable, be added to the Haiku main tree and thus be available by default on any Haiku system. Just a thought.

There is a ramfs driver now, but it's currently broken due to #11105.
