Description
I have had a flakey internet and I have noticed that if the router drops the internet but the LAN retains a connection and you try and load a page. The new tab, new window, increase size, decrease size, + tab button it's self. etc... all seem to do nothing and it seems. If you try and close it, it will also take a while before the browser will actually go from the list of programs (under the feature bit - sorry i don't know it's name).
I figure this is a bug with it waiting on the socket to try and get the data and not polling for events such as these button clicks. (some do work though such as the bookmark menu).

Well, the network backend was rewritten and no answer from original reporter, so assuming this is fixed.

I've just experienced the exact same issue, running hrev51201 (in VMware).
Does this still happen in recent nightly builds?
