Description
When using Tracker with keyboard only, once an entry is selected it's not possible to clear the selection, i.e. select nothing, which however can be done with the mouse by clicking on an empty area.
Having nothing selected is helpful when launching Textsearch [CMD-OPT-G] for a folder search. At the moment this is not possible (once something was selected).
I propose to dedicate the ESC key to "selection clearing".

IMHO I propose ctrl+space or alt+space to toggle selection for current 'hovered' item and to navigate holding ctrl or alt + arrow keys without changing current selection, like almost any other file manager I know. modifier could also be cmd too.

Right. When doing that, keep the "type-ahead filtering" in mind. If there is filtering done while anything's selected, the first ESC must keep the filtering and only deselect all files.
BTW, until this issue is solved, a work around is to select all (CMD+A) and then invert (CMD+S).
