Deskbar menu empties itself

Description
The deskbar menu can appear empty depending on whether an existing deskbar menu is currently open; The menu will briefly appear correctly and then all items will be blanked and the single entry '<empty>' will appear at the top.
To reproduce:
- Click on 'Tracker' item in the running applications list
- Click on the 'Haiku leaf' immediately after
Attached is a partial screenshot of the resulting menu. The image was built from hrev19197 under Gentoo Linux and was run under Qemu.
