Description
Currently http://i18n.haiku-os.org/ returns a 404. Instead, it should link to the i18n related efforts:
Perhaps even a brief note similar to ReadMe.IntroductionToHaiku?
The Haiku project is comprised of numerous volunteers spread across the globe. While Haiku supports localization efforts, the primary language is English. The project is mindful of the language barrier for non-English speakers. To note, the native language of the majority of contributors is not English.

If the page doesn't need to be much more than a list, I'm willing to string together a really simple standin HTML.

As a start, though, a HTML skeleton and a work-in-progress header. Seems proper to you?
I think the attached index.html file is simple enught for the start page, and I think it's design (the user guide design) is pretty cool. This is better than the error 404... :)

That seems proper enough. I see a couple errors here, that I will fix before tossing back an updated index.

What are the errors in that html file? There was a "/" missed. I have corrected now.

Haiku i18n site .html; Fixed incorrectly-referenced stylesheet, fixed a bunch of grammar errors, rewrote a paragraph, added another, modified other things for consistency

One error slipped right past. Now fixed. Commented also, forgot to mention earlier.

I didn't find that missed /. Where was that?
That was at line 8 at the end of the stylesheet line. That is need because of the XHTML standard.

Looks like there is now a web page in place, so closing this as fixed. Reopen if it is still an issue.

Eh? i18n.haiku-os.org only redirects to poodle for me. I though this ticket was to add an index page?

Reason for reopening stated in comment:14
Also it would be nice if the page could be translatable, so someone who does not speak English can find out where to get in touch with the translation team for their language if they spot a spelling or grammar mistake.

What is the problem with the attached index.html file(s)? Why that is bad for an index page?

This is not really a priority IMO as eventually the userguide tool will become superfluous and we will bring Pootle to the root level. If someone in the mean time has some spare time then of course attach the document to this ticket :-)
