Description
My computer is an HP t5745 which has two video outputs, shown in the GNU/Linux 'lspci' output as:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)
The display is connected to the second device but Haiku displays to the first, which is a lower-resolution analogue output and in fact it won't go beyond 1024x768.
There should be a configuration option to tell Haiku to use the second output.
Even nicer would be a xrandr-style preferences dialog to allow switching and positioning of the two outputs.
There is no BIOS option to select the output.
#9894 is related but refers to multiple cards, not multiple outputs of one card.

With respect, #8612 doesn't entirely block this ticket, since a partial fulfillment would be just to allow selection (in some configuration file) of the output. There's no need to provide the full solution of xrandr or interactive selection, initially. That would at least allow me (er, and hopefully others) to start using Haiku.
adding blocked by #8612 We don't even support multiple monitors yet :-)
