PCI-ATA Controller Error

On my old Celeron 1.7Ghz have a problem when booting Haiku, in Haiku Alpha/2 i have no problem to boot and install. Alpha4.1 and nightly hrev46096 have the Problem, see my KDL Screen, you found the error and the device firmware number.

It seems you disabled DMA at boot. What other safe boot options have you chosen?

i have chose all boot option, but with the same result. Ok ist old hardware, i wonder me why alpha2 have no problems.

I don't know if it still works, but as a workaround you can try to copy these two modules from your alpha2 (I hope I got them right):


and put them in your nightly install respectively in:

/system/add-ons/kernel/busses/ata/   (replacing generic_ide_pci)
/system/add-ons/kernel/bus_managers/ (removing ata)

Turned out A2 already included current ATA stack. In this case you can still try to replace these two:

/system/add-ons/kernel/bus_managers/removing ata
