#10462 closed bug (duplicate)

"PANIC: could not read block" after installing from USB stick

Reported by: humdinger Owned by: nobody
Priority: normal Milestone: R1
Component: - General Version: R1/Development
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: #10443 Blocking:
Platform: All

Description

This is hrev46747.

I booted from an anyboot image on a USB stick directly into Installer, installed Haiku onto a partition of my harddrive, and clicked the "Quit" ("Restart"?) button when it was done.

Instead of rebooting I was thrown into KDL: "PANIC: could not read block 25: bytesRead: -1, error: no media present". See attached photo.
