Wi-Fi connection is weaker and slower than Windows 7

Description

Hi, I have an Atheros AR5B97 Wireless adapter, and it works with the atheroswifi driver in Haiku. However, the signal strength is very very low, and it's quite slow. Sitting in the exact same spot in my house, if I boot into Windows 7, my signal strength is 100%, and I get great speeds. Is there some driver setting that can be tweaked to make my Wi-Fi within Haiku as good as Windows (and Linux btw)? Thanks!!
