Description
Since I upgraded Haiku to hrev51272, the Pdf Writer is no longer present in the Printer settings (where to setup a new printer).
I suspect that is due this commit: http://cgit.haiku-os.org/haiku/commit/?id=c7258f02db5ecbd58b65dd37265f1fe33b2f2312 On such page I can read "Now supplied via HaikuPorts packages"
But in HaikuPorts I don't see the Pdf Writer, and however, shouldn't be available by default on Haiku?

Hi Korli, sorry: I forget to mention that I run a gcc2_hybrid. Can we expect to see these packages available soon also for gcc2_hybrid?
I say "shouldn't be available by default on Haiku?" Because before hrev51243 the Pdf Writer was available by default.

Well, seems that Humdinger has provided PDFwriter and PDFlib packages also for gcc2_hybrid: http://cgit.haiku-os.org/haiku/commit/?id=efef87486ce16671acc26213fce2374fa829a6ea
So, this ticket can be closed?

Thanks, korli. Seeing as the libpdf is over 23 MiB in size, not including it nightly is probably a good idea. Closing ticket.
You should see very soon a pdfwriter package in Haikudepot for x86_64 (added in hrev51273).
I don't think it's really a Haiku dependency, but it can be provided by default in release images.
