Too easy to delete the wrong Printer in Printer-Settings

Description

It is too easy to accidentally delete the printer entries in the Printer preference panel.

I clicked the first entry to delete it, but always the last entry will be deleted. That way I accidentally deleted the "print to pdf"-printer! Which is not possible to get it working back again.

The marked/highlighted entry should be deleted!

I just like to get my Print to PDF-printer back!

Can't reproduce with hrev55476, 64bit.
Only the selected entry gets removed. A deleted Print-to-PDF printer can be added, after clicking the Add... button and selecting "PDF Writer" as printer type and "Print To File"for the connection.

Printing as PDF doesn't seem to work, the file dialog freezes. I haven't tried the original PDF Writer before removing and re-adding it, though. Is that what you mean with "Which is not possible to get it working back again"? I.e. you can re-add the PDF-printer, but it doesn't work.

Anyway, I don't think this ticket with its title is valid: the selected printer is removed when the thus labeled button is clicked. Excactly as expected.

I cannot reproduce this either.

I’ve had this happen a few times as well, where I’ve highlighted a printer to be removed and instead the PDF writer is deleted instead.

It happened as vidrep experienced too. I accidently deleted PDF writer and then it is gone! Even in the printer preferences. http://0x0.st/-Ce1.png I tried to reinstall it but it will not show up in the printer preferences "Add printer" dialog.

I got it not working with StyleEdit... http://0x0.st/-Ce9.png

Still cannot reproduce on hrev55734, 64bit. Even after removing all printers in the Printers prefs and uninstalling, then re-installing the pdfwriter package, I can still just re-add the PDF Writer as described in my first comment.
