Description

from linux, fdisk -l gives:

Partition table entries are not in disk order

sda7 is a bfs volume, booted hrev24167 sda11 is also a bfs volume, which hrev24167 doesn't recognize it, and booting from that volume with hrev25137 fails with kdl message: Did not find any boot partitions.

attached syslog, booting haiku hrev24167 from sda7 screen1.png showing mountvolume -lh

Note: don't conclude that hrev24167 boot successfully this machine and hrev25137 couldn't, because in the first try hrev24167 in sda7 also failed with the kdl message: Did not find any boot partitions. But what happens? After the first failure, i tried a haiku-cd, from that cd, at boot prompt, i selected that volume, and it booted successfully. Then i changed the volume name from Haiku to Hsm, and from that point it boots hrev24167 successfully without the need of the cd! Anyway, this notebook has it's own ticket #1871.
